Get ready to dominate the ice with the new Tacks XR skate lineup, engineered to elevate every stride and turn. Leading the charge, the Tacks XR is a NHL caliber force, featuring the revolutionary RFM power composite for enhanced durability and the signature Tacks stiffness profile. Players can benefit from amplified power and explosiveness in every stride, driven by the one-piece boot construction and a new to Tacks, internal attacking pitch that makes you quicker on your toes, ready to accelerate and react like never before.

Skate Fit Profile

The Tacks XR skates are designed to be a much more stiffer boot, providing the most support to strong skaters. Stiff skates may be tough to break in and use at first, but they are best for skaters with big strides and won’t wear down as easily, even if you are skating most of the week. This skate is completely thermoformable, meaning it is moldable and responsive to heat. Baking and fitting the skates while heated will allow them to fully adapt to your foot shape. These skates come in three different skate widths:

• Tapered: Narrow Forefoot, Narrow Heel, Low Volume
• Regular: Medium Forefoot, Medium Heel, Medium Volume
• Wide: Wide Forefoot, Wider Heel, Wide High Volume

These three profiles allow the player to choose a skate that best aligns with their foot profile in a particular skate family, removing limitations on choice based on fit instead of performance benefit.

Boot Construction & Stiffness Profile

The RFM Power Composite is an NHL-caliber lightweight composite material, with enhanced durability and Tacks stiffness profile. With higher in-step volume, it delivers a more generous fit in the midfoot. Players can experience amplified power from every stride with CCM’s one-piece boot construction, and an increased pitch angle for a more aggressive stance.

Liner & Internal Padding

Inside the skate, CCM added the TotalDri Pro liner. This liner is a high-performance moisture-wicking material that is designed to keep feet dry and skates light, while the antimicrobial treatment fights odor and bacteria. The XR skates feature ADPT Memory Foam that provides seamless comfort. This multi-layered configuration with denser ADPT Memory Foam ankle pads create a comfortable and snug skate interior.

Tongue

These skates feature the ADPT Comfort Tongue. With a molded core, the ADPT Memory foam wraps around your foot for ultimate feel and comfort. The FlexMotion design minimizes lace-bite and maximizes forward flexion in the skate.

Insoles

The footbed on these skates feature the molded CCM ortholite ultra with ADPT memory foam, which is an ultra-lightweight molded fit with heel grip support and an added layer on ADPT memory foam for extra comfort. Additionally, it features a lightweight midsole for enhanced energy transfer from the boot to the blade.

Holder & Steel

These skates use CCM Step Steel which is a high quality steel with precise profile and thickness for better edge control. This steel adds 4mm in height over standard runners allowing for more longevity. To hold the blades in place, CCM implemented the Speedblade XS holder with an enhanced dial. This quick-release holder and blade lock system feature an improved dial, for easier grip and quicker runner changes on the fly.
