Intro & New Features
The Tacks Recharge Hockey Stick is the second-level price point along with the new Tacks stick line from CCM. Designed with Nanolite Carbon UD and the Sigmatex Weave, it provides players with a lightweight feel, and incredibly strong and durable construction. Available in a variety of flexes and stick lengths, this stick is a great option for hockey players.
Stick Flex Profile
The Tacks Recharge stick features a Supercharged Mid-Kick point. This is a redesigned mid-flex profile that offers the ultimate shooting experience by combining a softer upper and lower shaft with a stiff middle section for maximum loading. This design lets players generate harder, more powerful shots with less effort.
Shaft Construction
The shaft on this stick uses a rounded “R” geometry, which is intended to provide a more comfortable grip and a better feel for the player compared to previous shaft geometries. This shape is also designed to reduce air resistance when in use, increasing shot speed and accuracy. The shaft is also designed with Nanolite Carbon UD, which is a unidirectional carbon layering to deliver a significantly lighter construction while maintaining structural integrity for consistent high-level performance.
Blade Construction
The blade on this hockey stick is designed with the Tri-Force Blade. This innovative blade construction reduces cupping and maximizes energy transfer for more accurate releases. The three-zone stiffness profile ensures stability and precision even on heavily loaded shots.
Throughout the blade and shaft, CCM included their Sigmatex Weave. Sigmatex is a premium carbon fiber weave used extensively in high-end hockey sticks. It utilizes an advanced spread tow fabric that flattens carbon fibers into a tight, thin grid. This makes the sticks lighter, more responsive, and more durable than traditional weaves.
Blade Patterns, Flex & Stick Length
The CCM Tacks Recharge Junior Hockey Stick comes in the following blade patterns: P28+¼, P29+¼, and P90TM. A new feature CCM continues to use is the +¼ option which is designed to add puck control for players.
P29 is the best blade pattern for all-around play, with a mid-curve style. It is great at handling the puck in small spaces, including face-offs. This curve may suffer a little bit on the backhand.
P28 is a much more aggressive stick pattern, used often by elite players. This blade curve specializes in quick and accurate shots, but it can be a bit difficult to get used to since it is also very good at raising the puck.
P90TM takes elements from the P92 and P28 but it is just a bit taller.
